Come back
to yourself.

A retreat is not a break from life. It is a return to yourself — with intention, with time and in the right place.

How it all began

India was the beginning.
And the return.

India had been on my mind for years — first through Eat, Pray, Love, then through the Steve Jobs biography. It was a period when I felt the path I was following was not entirely my own. In time I understood that the obstacles had not been failures but signals — and that the greatest mistake is to ignore them.

My first journey to India confirmed that feeling. A few days in an ashram — the silence, the rhythm, the complete presence — were enough for many things to take shape. There I understood that what we need more and more is to come back to ourselves.

Seeing a new place is not enough. A journey becomes truly important when, somewhere along the way, you also find pieces of yourself. When it takes you not only further on the map, but closer to who you are.

Two years later I returned to India as a guest at GITB and stayed at Raga Svara, one of the retreat centres that has left the strongest mark on me. Ayurveda, personalised programmes and care thought through to the last detail convinced me of one thing: a retreat is not a luxury for the few. It is a need that, in different forms, we all share.

For me India is the spiritual roof of the world — and now a part of me as well. I would like it to become part of the story of every traveller who is looking not just for a destination, but for a way back to themselves.

What a retreat is

"When you slow down, you begin to hear what daily life drowns out."

A retreat is a journey with a purpose. A space where the rhythm slows, the body is heard and the mind clears. Not itineraries packed full, but time deliberately chosen — to regenerate, to reflect and to come back into balance.

You can live it alone, as a couple, with friends or in a group. Every retreat is built around you — around what you feel, what you are missing and what you need to find.

How we build it

Not the best centre.
The right centre

We hold contracts and partnerships with retreat centres around the world — selected across different categories and budgets. The question is not where the best centres are. The question is which one is right for you.

Moments from my own retreats

"Sleepless nights spent dreaming, working and designing. Thousands of kilometres to turn those dreams into experiences. I have lived more than 50 destinations, and today I know exactly where to take you. Not simply to change the place you are in, but the state you are in. Because a real journey doesn't only take you somewhere else. It takes you closer to yourself."

— Laura Ferati, Retreat Travel Group
